| Promotion system | - Price regulation. The Renewable and Alternative Energy Sources and Biofuels Act provides the statutory basis to price regulation through a feed-in tariff, which is the main element of the Bulgarian promotion system. The Act stipulates the obligation to purchase and pay for electricity fed into the grid.

| Technologies | In general, all technologies used in the generation of electricity from renewable sources are eligible for the tariff. However, some inefficient system types are ineligible for promotion. |
