Slovenia: Overview of legal framework
Overview of promotion system
In Slovenia, electricity generated from renewable energy is mainly promoted through price regulation. Certain producers ("qualified producers") of electricity from renewable sources may choose between a guaranteed feed-in tariff and a bonus ("premium") on top of the electricity price achieved on the fee market. Furthermore, Slovenia carries out public calls for applications for subsidies and loans for projects in the field of renewable energy.
more about promotionOverview of access to the grid
Systems that generate electricity from renewable energy sources shall be connected to the grid according to the general provisions of energy law. Renewable energy shall not be connected at a priority. Use of the grid is also subject to the general provisions of energy law and shall be granted without discriminating against certain users. An expansion of the grid is subject to the general provisions of energy law, too.
